Android Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to TextExhibit for Android, developed by Castel Nuovo Systems.

Privacy Commitment

TextExhibit for Android is designed to convert SMS and MMS conversations into PDFs on your device. Your message content stays on your device.

Data The App Accesses

TextExhibit for Android accesses the following data only so it can provide PDF export functionality:

• SMS and MMS messages selected for export
• MMS attachments such as images, videos, and audio files
• Contact names, if you grant Contacts permission
• Export settings such as output folder, display names, date range, device name, and serial number fields you enter

Local Processing

All message parsing and PDF generation happens locally on your Android device. Generated PDFs, extracted media, and verification reports are saved to the output folder you choose.

TextExhibit does not upload message content, contact names, phone numbers, generated PDFs, or exported media to TextExhibit servers.

Permissions

TextExhibit requests SMS and MMS access to read conversations for export. Contacts permission is optional and is used to show contact names instead of phone numbers in exported PDFs.

TextExhibit does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, or call history.

Crash Reporting

TextExhibit for Android uses Firebase Crashlytics to help diagnose app crashes. Crash reports may include stack traces, app version, device model, Android version, available memory, and foreground or background state.

Crash reports do not include message content, contact names, phone numbers, generated PDFs, or exported media.

Analytics

TextExhibit for Android uses Firebase Analytics for anonymous app usage events such as app opens, screen views, export completion, and in-app purchase events. Analytics may include device model, Android version, screen size, country, and language settings.

Analytics events do not include message content, contact names, phone numbers, generated PDFs, or exported media. Advertising ID collection is disabled.

In-App Purchases

TextExhibit for Android uses Google Play Billing for in-app purchases. Purchase transactions are handled by Google Play. Castel Nuovo Systems does not collect or store your payment card information.

The Android app can only be unlocked with the in-app Google Play purchase shown inside TextExhibit for Android. Purchases or licenses for other TextExhibit products do not unlock Android app functionality.

Data Retention

TextExhibit does not retain your message data after export beyond files you choose to save. To remove local app settings, uninstall TextExhibit or clear the app data from Android settings.

Children’s Privacy

TextExhibit is designed for legal professionals and adults who need to export their own text messages. It is not intended for children under 18.

This policy may be updated from time to time. The effective date above indicates when the policy was last revised.
