Android Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to TextExhibit Android App, developed by Castel Nuovo Systems.

Privacy Commitment

TextExhibit Android App is designed to convert SMS and MMS conversations into PDFs and Excel spreadsheets on your device. Message content, contacts, phone numbers, and exported files stay on your device unless you explicitly choose to share an exported file.

Data Accessed and Processed Locally

TextExhibit Android App accesses the following data only so it can provide PDF export functionality:

SMS and MMS messages selected for export
MMS attachments such as images, videos, and audio files
Contact names, if you grant Contacts permission
Export settings such as output folder, display names, date range, device name, and serial number fields you enter

Under Google Play’s Data safety definitions, this local access is not “collection” because the data is not transmitted off your device.

Local Processing

All message parsing and PDF generation happens locally on your Android device. Generated PDFs, extracted media, and verification reports are saved to the output folder you choose.

TextExhibit does not upload message content, contact names, phone numbers, generated PDFs, or exported media to TextExhibit servers.

TextExhibit also does not send this content to Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, or any other analytics or diagnostic service.

Permissions

TextExhibit requests SMS and MMS access to read conversations for export. Contacts permission is optional and is used to show contact names instead of phone numbers in exported PDFs.

TextExhibit does not request access to your camera, microphone, call history, or precise device location, and it does not request Android location permission. As described under Analytics, Firebase may derive an approximate location from a masked IP address.

Crash Reporting

TextExhibit Android App uses Firebase Crashlytics to help diagnose app crashes and monitor app stability. Crash reports may include stack traces, diagnostics, app version and state, device model, Android version, available memory, session information, and installation identifiers.

Crash reports do not include message content, contact names, phone numbers, generated PDFs, or exported media.

Analytics

TextExhibit Android App uses Firebase Analytics to collect usage data that is not intentionally associated with a name or account. Analytics may include app opens, screen views, sessions, engagement, app updates, in-app purchase events and transaction metadata, device and app information, app-instance and installation identifiers, advertising identifiers, and approximate location derived from a masked IP address.

Analytics events do not include message content, contact names, phone numbers, generated PDFs, or exported media. TextExhibit does not display advertising or use these identifiers to personalize ads.

In-App Purchases

TextExhibit Android App uses Google Play Billing for in-app purchases. Purchase transactions are handled by Google Play. Castel Nuovo Systems does not collect or store your payment card information.

TextExhibit Android App can only be unlocked with the in-app Google Play purchase shown inside the app. Purchases or licenses for other TextExhibit products do not unlock TextExhibit Android App functionality.

TextExhibit does not automatically upload exported files. If you choose to share, open, or upload a generated PDF, spreadsheet, verification report, or media file using Android’s share interface or another app, you select the file and destination. The receiving app or service handles that file under its own privacy policy and terms.

Data Retention

TextExhibit does not retain your message or contact data after export beyond files and local settings you choose to save. To remove local app data, uninstall TextExhibit or clear its storage in Android settings.

Firebase and Google Analytics retain analytics, diagnostic, and identifier data according to their service settings and policies. Firebase Crashlytics generally retains crash reports and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning deletion. Children’s Privacy

TextExhibit is designed for legal professionals and adults who need to export their own text messages. It is not intended for children under 18.

Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. The effective date above indicates when the policy was last revised.
