Before Contacting Support
To help us assist you faster, please include the following information in your support request:
For Technical Issues
- TextExhibit version number (found in Help > About)
- Operating system (Windows 10, Windows 11, macOS version)
- Description of the issue - What were you trying to do? What happened instead?
- Error messages - Copy any error messages you see
- Backup type - Android XML or iPhone backup?
- Log file - Click Help > Open Log Folder in TextExhibit, then attach

For Licensing Issues
- Your license key (first 8 characters are sufficient)
- Email address used for purchase
- Description of the issue

Quick Troubleshooting
- Trial watermarks won’t go away - Ensure you’ve entered your license key correctly in Help > Activate License
- Can’t find backup file - See our Android or iPhone backup guides for file locations
- Encrypted iPhone backup - You need the backup password from your client
