Operating System Notices
Our installers are in the process of being code-signed and will be fully signed soon.
In the meantime, you may see standard operating system security messages during installation:
Windows: You may see a “Windows protected your PC” or “Unknown Publisher” message from Microsoft Windows SmartScreen. Simply click “More info” and then “Run anyway” to continue.
Mac: macOS may display an “Unknown Developer” message while verifying the installer. You can right-click the installer and choose “Open” or allow it in System Settings > Privacy & Security.
These messages appear solely because the code-signing certificate is still pending — not because of any security issue. The software itself is complete, unchanged, and safe to install.

Installation Instructions
Windows
- Download the
.exeinstaller above - Run the installer (click through SmartScreen if prompted)
- Follow the installation wizard
- Launch TextExhibit from the Start Menu or Desktop shortcut
Mac
- Download the
.dmginstaller above - Open the DMG file
- Drag TextExhibit to your Applications folder
- Launch TextExhibit from Applications (right-click and select “Open” the first time)
System Requirements
- Windows: Windows 10 or Windows 11
- Mac: macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later
- RAM: 4GB minimum (8GB recommended for large conversations)
- Disk Space: 200MB for installation, plus space for exported PDFs
